
Michael A. Chartrey

Mr. Chartrey graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and a minor in chemistry. In May 2012, Mr. Chartrey graduated from the Willamette University College of Law, where he earned his J.D. Degree. During law school, Mr. Chartrey completed a program in International and Comparative Business Law at Bucerius Law School located in Hamburg, Germany. Mr. Chartrey also obtained litigation and trial experience while working as a law clerk with the Coos County District Attorney’s Office.
Following law school, Mr. Chartrey worked at the Coos County District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted major person felonies, sex crimes, and complex property crimes. As a prosecutor, Mr. Chartrey gained extensive litigation experience through representing the State of Oregon in dozens of trials and hearings. His practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation and arbitration with an emphasis on contract disputes, construction law, and collections actions. He is an active member of the Oregon State Bar and the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.
